“When isn’t tha’ boy bored?” He laughed, smiling slightly. “Ah. Well… Ye can’ really blame her after… all tha’s happened.”
Hiccup grinned. “Maybe when he sleeps.” He crossed his arms over his chest. “I don’t blame her. I’m worried too.”
“Well I can’ really blame ye either…” He hesitated for a moment before giving him a firm squeeze on the shoulder. “Just try nae ta worry abou’ it. I’m sure things’ll be jus’ fine this time around.”
He tensed at the feeling of the man’s hand on his shoulder. Arnheim didn’t touch him. In fact, he couldn’t remember the man ever touching him in gentle way. “I’m sure you’re right. I mean, things have to get better. They can’t get worse.”
“Alright, I suppose. How’s… Astrid an’ the boy?”
“They’re doing good…Roan is bored out of his mind. Astrid is worried, I think. About the baby.”

“Eh.” He shrugged. “‘s been better.”
“It’s not bad though. How are you?”
“Alright, I suppose. How’s… Astrid an’ the boy?”
“They’re doing good…Roan is bored out of his mind. Astrid is worried, I think. About the baby.”
He huffed and toppled over, and laid on the ground like a corpse.
“Bluh…”
Hiccup stared down at the boy, a heavily amused expression on his face. “You and the ground getting acquainted?”
“Uh huh we’re the bestest friends ever…”
He lays his arms out as if he was hugging the ground.
“I wuv the ground..”
“Oh yeah?” Hiccup crossed his arms over his chest as he watched Roan. “Well, he’ll always catch you when you fall at least. You’ve got dirt all over your face,” he grinned.
“I know. I’m so bored.”
He sits up and pouts*
“Daddy can we go out and do something. Like fishing or hunting…Can we go on a dragon ride?! Pleaaaaase.”
“Fishing?” Hiccup found that to be boring…but if his son wanted to do it he would go. “Well, which do you want to do?”
